Coloratura Soprano Chelsea Hollow began her dance with Opera in search for a deeper relationship with music. Chelsea performs with San Francisco Bay Area companies including The San Francisco Opera Guild, West Bay Opera, The Lamplighters, Pocket Opera and 42nd Street Moon. Favorite roles include Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Adina (Elixir of Love), Dorine (Tartuffe), and The Virgin Mary in the world premier of Peter B. Allen’s The Message of Gabriel. As a concert soloist, she has performed works such as Mozart’s Mass in C minor and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass. Other appearances include the Moorpark Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Concerto & Aria Concert where she was featured as the competition winner performing “Bester Jüngling” (Der Schauspieldirektor, Mozart) and “Ah! Je veux vivre” (Roméo et Juliette, Gounod). In Spring 2010, Chelsea was recognized as a finalist in West Bay Opera’s Henry and Maria Holt Scholarship Competition. Upcoming performances include Amy March in Mark Adamo’s Little Women and Rapunzel in Sondheim’s Into the Woods with The San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
